Join us for an evening featuring two songwriters, Talia Schlanger and Rebecca Hennessy. Talia and Rebecca will each play a set of original songs, both accompanied by Kevin Breit on guitar, and on Rebecca’s set, Michael Herring on upright bass.

Rebecca Hennessy is an award-winning trumpeter, singer, composer and bandleader. Rebecca’s original music has sounds that travel through roots, jazz and Americana traditions. Her original songs have themes of grief, healing and joy, and is delivered through her warm and clear voice and trumpet sound. The Rebecca Hennessy Trio features Kevin Breit on guitar, Michael Herring on bass and Rebecca on voice and trumpet.

Talia Schlanger is a songwriter, musician and broadcaster whose intimate and explosive debut album "Grace for the Going" has been named one of Exclaim!'s 31 Most Anticipated Canadian Albums of 2024. Her inspiration runs deep, from Roberta Flack’s quiet confidence to the raw freedom of Jeff Buckley, to Paul Simon’s pristine storytelling and the honest ache of Nina Simone.
